Jesus' invitation has never changed.
"Follow me."

He invited them to walk with Him. To learn from Him. To become like Him. To help others do the same.
At C3 Inner South, everything we do exists to awaken souls to follow Jesus.
So what does it mean to follow Jesus here?
Jesus called people into relationship before He sent them on mission. Following Jesus is too important to do alone.
We believe every person deserves to be known. To be seen. To be heard. To be wanted. Known by God. Known by His people.
We open our homes. We share our tables. We make room in our lives. We know people's names, stories and struggles. We celebrate with them. We grieve with them. We encourage them. We challenge them.
Disciples are formed in relationships. Not in isolation.
Following Jesus is more than information. It is relationship.
We open God's Word. We pray. We depend on the Holy Spirit. We expect Jesus to speak. Then we obey.
We are not trying to know more. We are learning to walk more closely with Him.
Following Jesus changes every part of life. Our character. Our priorities. Our relationships. Our generosity. Our courage. Our witness.
As we follow Jesus we become fruitful. People of faith. Filled with the Holy Spirit. Students of Scripture. People of prayer. People who love deeply. People who bring life wherever we go. People who use the gifts God has given us.
We are not trying to become better church members. We are becoming more like Jesus.
No one has arrived. Everyone has a next step.
We celebrate repentance. Faith. Obedience. Baptisms. New rhythms of prayer. People opening God's Word. People discovering their gifts. People taking risks. People helping others follow Jesus.
We celebrate movement more than attendance because movement is evidence of life.
Disciple-making isn't a ministry for a few. It is the calling of every follower of Jesus. It isn't another program. It is inviting someone to walk with you as you follow Jesus.
Every one of us is learning from someone. Every one of us is investing in someone. Every one of us is preparing someone.
We will not measure success by how many people gather around a stage. We will measure success by how many people are helping someone else follow Jesus.
To be known. To know Jesus. To become like Jesus.
Again and again.
Until every person has someone walking beside them. Until every follower of Jesus is becoming more like Christ. Until every disciple is helping someone else follow Him.
